Syllabus of diversity

The world does not come with a universal syllabus—no single framework through which everyone learns, interprets, and engages with reality. Instead, it is divided into countless factions, each cultivating its own evolving “syllabus” shaped by its beliefs, priorities, and ways of seeing. These syllabi are not fixed; they emerge dynamically, blending mythology, fiction, lived experience, and what each group considers objective truth.

What we call “the world” is not a singular, shared construct—it is something that emerges differently for each faction. Their understanding is a function of perception. The lens through which they observe reality determines the patterns they recognize, the meanings they assign, and ultimately, the knowledge they build.

Take a solar eclipse as an example. It is a single celestial event, objectively occurring in the same way for all. Yet its meaning diverges across perspectives. For a scientific observer, it is an astronomical phenomenon—an opportunity to study orbital mechanics, light, and shadow. For someone rooted in traditional or belief-driven frameworks, the same event may be interpreted as a sign—something that influences fortune, destiny, or spiritual balance.

The event itself does not change; perception does.

This divergence in interpretation creates differences in opinion, especially among the broader population. At these levels, debates often center on what is “true” or “correct.” However, those operating at higher levels—whether in leadership, strategy, or influence—tend to engage with perception differently. Rather than debating which interpretation is right, they focus on how these differing perceptions can be understood, navigated, and leveraged to shape outcomes.

In that sense, the true “curriculum” of the world is not about mastering a single body of knowledge. It is about recognizing that multiple realities coexist—each emerging from its own framework—and learning how these realities interact, conflict, and evolve.

To understand the world, then, is not just to study facts, but to study perception itself.

Weaponization of diversity

God allowed us to group into different clans to push forward the concept of diversity. This makes it possible to dwell into multiple worlds which are as unique as every important chapter of a book. One missing page of book changes very purpose of the book as imagined by author (the creator).

But what have we understood about it, the very special aspect of us that is to discriminate between the two sides of coin. If it were to be plainly explained in terms of book. One chapter would be in A4 size and another will be A3. One chapter background colour would be of saffron and another would be green. One chapter would be of 70 gsm and another would be 120 gsm.

Have we ever considered that what would be value of these variations if the contents of the book were simply hollow which fails to connect with the reader which is the actual purpose of the book as imagined by the author. Yeah, it is easy to accept we are basically tuned to view the variations rather than content. But the buck doesn't end there wherein we begin to fight for the variations rather the content.

We should feel blessed that our livelihood in full of diversified colour, whose very purpose to delight you rather than fight for upmanship to severe connectivity amongst them.

Equity amongst diversification

Do you have a slightest idea that not everyone enjoys that freedom of reading the material you are exposed to like you are doing right now. You are one among those highest intellect that you are still not schooled for the sake of safeguarding someones rosy picture.

When i say not everyone it has many faces. Like that of those who are those practicing minimal dialects or way of societal exposure. They are not taken seriously as they are not in a position to overpower or overthrow.

Its basically human psychology that when you see a single lame dog you stone it and when you see a pack of ferocious dogs you feel intimidated. But that the animal world and we are supposed to be humans.

In a civilized society not quantity but quality matters and every individual is respected and adored for his/her unique contribution to the collective conscience.

One man show - an assault on diversity

As you enter a restaurant you request for a menu card and look into variety of food available at the restaurant to pick the tastiest or new variety of dish. You visit a nearby cloth store and search for latest variety of clothing to be in tune with the latest trend. There are variety of books to read, variety of places to visit and variety of films to watch. In short we have been gifted with fundamental right to choose the best option among many.

Now imagine a situation wherein this fundamental right is abducted by a group of people or by an organization and starts imposing its one god, one culture, one language policy. You are right, this is what happening in our country wherein one man and organization which believes in one bigoted ideology are dictating terms to lure the people right from candidates we choose till the god we pray or religion we practice in the name of unification of thoughts and uniformity of choice. In military state this is done by showcase of lethal power, but in democracy this is done by invoking sentimental aspects of herd that is love for religion, love for the nation, love for the language and make the person poke the eye using his own hands. Laws are drafted in such a way that they are bulldozed upon the people who don't have numbers to stop it striking upon root of their distinct practices.

A one man show who does not buy ideology of fellow human beings is always a danger to pluralism. He will expect the world to follow his wishes and believe in supremacy to arrest the creativeness in the people around. Every reason will be found out / discovered / invented using a dedicated team of hidden hands to convince the mass that this uniformity is for the bright future. The person who is benefited in the uniformity of practices is the person who wishes to rule as there is no need to give special attention to special requirements within the herd.

Plurality can be practiced only by the person who has a broader vision w.r.t. the happenings of the world and unify different practices in such a way that they create a sense of togetherness. India has always been a proponent of unity in diversity and treating all groups of people with an equal yardstick before the constitution conferring equal rights without any distinction based on religion and caste.
