Power of like :))

The power of like…

Have you ever observed in your life about an act committed by you willfully and differentiate it with a act committed just because of some external pressure. Well most of the people like to do easy things and get frustrated when they are given a task beyond their limits.

But my topic is not about the easy or difficult tasks but is more about the acts which we like to do but due to some reasons we find ourselves incapable of fulfilling those wishes. IT may as simple as dancing in a rain or as complex as inventing some new concepts in this world. But a wish is a wish and it keeps scratching our hearts to make us feel dejected.

I would like to mention about the story of a person involved in carving statues of Gods. A good job, a happy family and a good talent. Guy was leading a heavenly life. Each and every idol carved by him was exhibiting divine look and this made people from far end to come in search of this great artist. Always busy was this good  and god loving human.

As usual involved was this gentlemen, another gentlemen introducing himself as a representative of a great kingdom reached out to the artist with an offer to carve a six feet idol of a goddess to be kept a temple being constructed by the king. Talented sculpture was very happy to accept the offer and started his work of the idol to be completed asap.

With great devotion and dedication sculpture completed carving of the sculpture out of most precious stone available with him and it was taken to the temple where it was to be kept for worshiping. On the inaugural day king was mesmerized with the artistic as well divine beauty associated with the idol. He was so much impressed that he ordered his minister to take him to the sculpture along with great amounts of gold and silver as a reward to the talent.

Artist was very happy to receive the king and accepted reward graciously. But the next moment he was stunned by a request of king. King’s request was to carve his image with same artistic sense as done with idol of goddess. Artist was left speechless, but was able to regain his balance and explained his position.

Artist spoke,” Honorable king. I have been honored by your request but at the same time you need to understand that I have dedicated myself to carving of idols of God and Goddess, which happens to be the main reason of interest for me to be a great artist. I fear that I may not be able to get your image imposed on to the stone as perfectly as imposing the image of divine souls. I hence express by inability of accepting your request.”

King was polite enough to understand the feelings of artist but tried to incite the greed quality by offering one tenth of his property to him. Still the artist refused and king had to return empty handed.
When the artist's family came to know about the king's offer, they were so much excited that they began to pressurize former to accept the offer. Unable to convince the family about his sentiments, artist sent a message to the king about accepting the offer and requested for some of his paintings as reference to his carvings.

King readily sent the paintings and artist began carving the idol. But this time there was something missing from his end- dedication and devotion. He completed the carving and sent the idol to king.

King, who was eagerly waiting for the idol was quite happy to see the statue covered with cloth. He ordered the servants to the remove the shield. With all the members of the family present over there, when the shield was removed everyone began to laugh.

The idol resembled to the brother of King than by king himself. King was much embarrassed by the idol; he immediately dispatched soldiers with a message composed by his minister.
Soldiers reached the place of the artist and read out the message:

Respected Artist,
I received the idol and I am sad to inform you that it doesn’t resemble an inch of my king. It would have been better if you had not carved the idol itself. I believe that a sense of greed prevailed on you in accepting our offer and made you commit a grave mistake of insulting my king by not acting in the right manner.
It is hence decided that you are hereby banished from our kingdom for a year as a reward for your mistake
.
After reading out the message, soldiers immediately asked him to vacate the kingdom and sent him and his family away from the boundaries.

It is a simple story to demonstrate that more than the money it is the interest and like associated with an work which has the ability to glorify it and nothing else can substitute the same..!!!

Stepping stone..

People become steps ..people become ladders..people become spotlights...they are known as Teachers. I often wonder about the reason about a person who knows something about a field and has the ability to earn much more in that direction stop himself/herself to transform into a teacher.

There may many reasons associated with that single decision of becoming a teacher but basically it requires quality of  understanding a subject in a way explainable to the students whom he/she needs to address.

Being a teacher is something like being a partial boss of a company without paying any salary instead you need to pay. H/she can command you within the limits and you cannot say no because s/he is ahead in the scale of knowledge and you cannot deny those privileges to teachers.

They teach you, they measure you, they grade you, they scold you, they may even incite you but all this is for those few years of union. A few years later and you visit him/her with a successful career in hand, it is that same teacher who will feel happy for the rest of the day thinking about you ..only you..!! LOVE THY TEACHERS..!!!

It's always wrong to take a wrong route....!!!!!!

We are moving ahead counting each second, each minute, each hour, each day.. with an idea in mind..with an expectation in eyes...with an act to be done from our end..!!

And the most compelling part of the story is about people around and the way we get treated or we treat them during the course of  the task completion do matters in this journey of life.

A practical incident is revealed for you. A need for caste and income certificate took me to Tahsildar's office situated at K.G. Road of Bangalore. News Papers did publish about single window counter which would receive application for my need at the center. A step into the premises, I was greeted by a long queue of people waiting for their turn. Standing in a queue is nothing new for me, a I do it before an ATM,in banks etc, but I had to think about the documents required from my end, so that the same can be submitted to a gentlemen who receives the people in queue.

A query was raised about the documents before a person who was ahead of me in the series. He asked me to get a form downstairs and  a TC as well as income proof. I could buy the form but a TC was missing from my file and procedure for income proof was burdensome. In a confused state, I shared about the problem with a guy who was selling forms and he said, "I can do the job for you for some extra money." The need for certificate was urgent and I had no time to hang around doing some experiments with an highly disordered system. I paid!!!

In any part of world, customer is treated as God but in a black market customer is treated like dog. The treatment goes as follows: Said amount was paid and date was informed on which I was assured of the certificate. The guy shared his phone number and  asked me to call to confirm about the readiness of the certificate with him. Exactly after two days, I made a call and there was an excuse for the delay which postponed the deadline to two days later. Once gain, I made the call and the tone changed from courteous to irritating mode and he asked me to call back in the evening. A call in the evening greeted me with some complaints and he asked me not to disturb for two more days.
Certificate was needed for an urgent requirement and that was the reason which compelled me to pay that EXTRA AMOUNT. But the delay in receipt of certificate had put me in a tight situation. Went to the person who had collected the money and tried to explain about the urgency. He was reluctant who blamed on the faulty machines for the delay. I could not complain as the route selected by me wasn't legal nor could I  demand my money back as he wasn't ready to pay back. With no way to settle the situation, I had to maintain patience. After two to three visits to the guy, he wavered the certificate before me.Ah!! my joy knew no bounds..as the certificate served my purpose.!!

Task was simple..but much effort was invested for the same. And I was made to wait like a nut with no room to complain before the guys who are not even graduates.!!

Well to skip one round I paid, I got rebuked ..!!! So never ever go for shortcuts guys..They suck..!!!

Gandhi Thatha ki jai....

Today is a holiday and we owe this free time to Shri Mahatma Gandhiji. Is it not?? This is a very small reason to be happy about Gandhi but much more can be drawn from the pockets of this thin bodied, scantly dressed, bald headed, with spectacles for his eyes and a stick of support in his hand...yet he his Mahatma..a great soul..named Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi..

His life can never be understood by the one who believes in getting the acts done fast without worrying about others..and wish to enjoy the fruits from a tree without even waiting for the fruit to get ripened..!!!

One such practical instance is wrt queue system in a bus stop..not practiced by us but if done can surely bring about major change in our mentality or our respect to a life based on order..Well.. there are reasons for  people not following this queue based system..

1. There is no one to supervise the queue
2. Young people who are healthy want to test their strength in entering a bus
3. Buses do not stop at a bus stop in a proper manner etc

Above are few reasons which we have for not maintaining an order at bus stop.. and hence resort to other way i.e crowding..a bus comes and everyone pounce on it..even without allowing the one to get down..!!! Now no one questions the root i.e. transport corporations which is expected to increase the number of buses and its frequency as we have no time/energy to spend in this direction and we are busy managing the crowd..!!We are still travelling but without any order or understanding..

The above story can be linked to Mr. Gandhi.. it is because of him we got an independence in ORDER...in a way which changed the WORLD's VISION about life.. which was till then based on power politics ( Read about the world wars and the reason for which they were fought). And it was because of this little man, WORLD could understand that Human's existence should be based on Human values i.e. LOVE,CARE and DIGNITY devoid of any political or economical power associated with them.

Now, do you want to imagine the world without the Gandhiji or his precious thoughts about respecting human values...You need not imagine it, just have glance about the happenings in our neighboring country and you will realize that INDIA HAS ESCAPED FROM HELL..because of GANDHIJI...

WE WOULD HAVE GAINED INDEPENDENCE LIKE OUR NEIGHBORING COUNTRY HAD.. BUT OF NO USE...!!!!

GANDHIJI -A GOOD SON, A GOOD LEADER, A FREEDOM FIGHTER, A STATESMAN, A SAVIOUR

I Love Him.....And I am proud to be an Indian because though we do not give importance to an order in bus stop BUT WE HAVE BEEN INTELLIGENT AND KIND ENOUGH to understand the message of NON-VIOLENCE from this old person called GANDHI...!!!!

Reason to live !!!

Every life is accompanied by a reason...and this reason shapes that particular life!!! Well well...I do speculate about the reason associated with an animal but I could have been successful in this direction if there was someone who would have taught me animal language.. LOL!!!

I do understand the language of human beings, so it is easier to make out the reason for this species!!! Do you know the most basic  reason associated with a person to lead a life? It is the fact that- " S/He is born and hence needs to live." and to live they speak or communicate with the others who have already hoisted their flag on this earth!!

Apart from the above basic reason, but let me tell you that apart from this basic reason I have seen people who have the below set of reasons associated with their life:

a. Compete with the people around and dominate them
b. Learn new things and showcase before the people
c. Earn good amount of money and materials
d. Enjoy the world with addiction quality
e. Do, what the neighbor does
f. Conquer the entire world

The above are some of the silly reasons practiced by a person which are next level higher than the basic reason. Following are the set of reasons which is one step further in the ladder:
a. Raise a family and take care of it with love and care.
b. Help the poor and needy

Now I would like to introduce you to the next set of reasons:
a. Work for improving the level of humanity
b. Instill a sense of goodness in the hearts of people around

Finally you can also find people with filthy reasons in their mind-
a. Harm the people around to intimidate them
b. Never allow happiness to flourish around

The above are just few of them but many more reason flourish in the minds of people and each one is Uniquee...try to figure out the one in the minds of your loved ones...!!!!

Come on !! I met scientists!!!

Scientists !!! I wasn't sure about that factor which made a person with a tag scientist associated with him so famous. I too shared the same picture of an old man with a long white beard and uncombed hair wearing a white apron and playing with some mixtures of chemicals to be associated with a scientist, as seen in our films!!!

But believe me, Scientists are really nature's best pick who are allowed to decipher the same!! Stopping the drumming phase because I know that I have been heard loud enough, through this article I wish to share my experience about the ways and habits which a scientist believes in and I have seen those individuals too close. Guess the number of them , it is around 20 odd collection in a single building.

Welcome to NCBS ( National center for Biological Science), situated near GKVK Bangalore midst lush green trees!! I am not going to elaborate on general detailing as the same is available at the site http://www.ncbs.res.in , if you can find a common factor in my previous postings the same factor will greet you over here.

After much dilly dallying , I was able to join this institute as a technical trainee exactly one and half year ago and my duty was to cater to the electronic needs of the institute-it is a very brief explanation. Concentrating on people who are the pillars of institute, scientists. They are the true stars.

And life of scientists is self defined and self reliant. I can explain their cycle as follows. Every scientist was a student to  another scientist working under him/her on a specific project which will earn them his/her doctorate. As those students gel with the scientific life, they identify a stream in science which requires their contribution or the stream which they think will help the human race, to prepare a report mentioning the aim of proposed research, infrastructural as well as man power requirement for the same. Based on the report, they request for a grant from organisations who are ready to invest in the research. With grants in hand, it is all research for the scientist and his/her group consisting of students i.e. aspiring scientists. Scientists at regular intervals put forth their hard earned research papers informing about the progress made in the research.

The above were procedural aspects of research, but more than these procedural aspects, it is the commitment and integrity of person in limelight which I would say is something great about!! In the world of experiments, a scientist has many duties to fulfill as below:
a. Make maximum use of the time and money invested upon him/her
b. Identify latest equipment in the market required for his/her experiments
c. Plan his/her laboratory for its maximum use
d. Select proper kids i.e students because mischievousness can really spoil the game
e. Work day and night on the experiments
f. Prepare appropriate reports to be shared with the investor
g. Finally end up discovering or inventing something useful to this world

And this is done solely on the basis of self interest with no one to push them up but many people to block for rather distasteful reasons. So a scientist is really a self supported and self pushing individual always busy doing something to satisfy their positive interest!!!

And I have to mention name of the scientist Prof. Obaid Siddiqi, an 80 year old personality with a zeal to discover something more in the field of life science. I cannot explain about the importance of his discoveries so far as I am a distant relative of life science but by speaking few words to him I can say that he understands life from bottom to top in its positive spectrum. But sadly I couldn't fulfill his request for a milli-volt amplifier till the end of my career at NCBS. It will take years to read the total collection of books at his work place!!!

So, it is all about commitment to our work and making a positive movement in life which makes a human being distinguishable compared to the losers/sufferers around...Hope you enjoyed the little write up!!!

Language of learnt...A short story!!!!!!

There was a heavy traffic jam on a busy road and Kishan was getting late to a meeting!! Unable to bear the delay he yelled at his cab driver midst making calls to his company!! Cab driver got down from the cab and walked a few minutes to know the reason for the blockage.

A person riding a two wheeler who tried to jump the signal was hit by a bus from the other side, blood was spilled all over the road and his pillion rider who supposed to be a friend of rider was seen limping yet fighting with the bus driver. Driver of the cab named Anwar as he reached the accident spot was shocked to see that the guy hit by the bus was a known to him and his name was Shabbir, a relative of elected representative of the area where he resides. He immediately tried to pacify the duo and asked the pillion rider to take the person to the hospital and by then police as well as ambulance had rushed to the spot. Police took the bus under their control and asked the driver to ride the bus to police station whereas the victim, who was bleeding as the helmet was not on his head but was in his hand during the course of accident, was rushed to the hospital in the ambulance.

Anwar, informed the matter to the elected representative and walked to the cab. By then the traffic blockade was cleared and Kishan heaved a sigh of relief as he was assured to reach meeting venue at right time by the driver. Cab driver Anwar was getting calls on his mobile from other relatives of the Shabbir and he was busy answering them. Kishan, who finished his last minute corrections of his presentation, took some time to know about the accident. Anwar readily explained him about Shabbir, a rude personality of the area.

To begin with Anwar had some sympathy for the victim but later termed the entire accident as a punishment to a arrogant person. Anwar began to speak , "I know that to lead a life in this world we need to be fearless and should take some risk in life but there is a limit to everything and the one who is fighting for his life in the  hospital failed to acknowledge that LIMIT. Any fight in our area will have his involvement and more than his involvement it is the involvement of his physic which made him settle scores with the opposite. Decided never to hear anyone as he was fed with a belief that he was always right by his wicked father and mother who are no more which again a result of their wrong doing killed by their enemies. I find people who fight for themselves, their place, food, pride etc. Do you think it is correct?"

Kishan was surprised by the question but not amazed and answered, "Fighting! I like that word very much because it defines our qualities and I have no complaints about it but yes fighting for a selfish needs does take the humanity away from us. I am on my way to meet a foreign delegation who here to find a probable working partner. And I am a representative of my company, to be simple a soldier from by company sent to  conquer that opportunity and I am going to fight with others for the same. But we give respect to BASIC HUMAN VALUES. I mean I will meet my opponents, greet them, speak to them, have lunch with them, some of the opponents are friends whose family members are known to me. With this basic level of courtesy requirement satisfied we then fight for our companies which we represent for. My opponents will speak about the advantages and disadvantages of investing in their companies and I will speak about mine. Based on the level of our competency factor the foreign delegation will choose its partner. The winner will all be in smiles and losers will concentrate on the other work in their list of to do's. We shake our hands with each other wishing best of luck to the winner and try to improve our weakness. So the entire process has a theme and it is WITHIN FRAME OF HUMANITY."

Anwar was very happy with the explanation and wondered," Exactly the same is missing in the people which I am surrounded by. There is no consideration for that MINIMUM LEVEL OF HUMANITY and language spoken by us is quiet ugly as we do not believe in the LIMITS. The guy who died is of that type who will stoop to any level, never to hesitate from committing a crime for getting his work done. Since he had close relationship with elected representative he never feared from Police too and never feared for law of land."

And a call reached Anwar's mobile informing him about the death of Shabbir due to excessive bleeding and Kishan was sorry for the deceased and spoke, " So when you analyse the life of Shabbir you will observe that he lived a life of an animal, never to understand his humanity and human values such as love and care. I bet his soul will never be satisfied with the type of life lead by Shabbir to return back to this earth. The one who learns , understands and follows the human values shall be fully satisfied irrespective of his caste or creed and will never like to be born again on this earth. I appreciate that you had been able to observe the animal in Shabbir but I bet you can stay away from committing same mistakes as done by Shabbir, Fight for the human values which will help you become more human, for your family which loves you and wishes for your happiness, for your nation which provides a place on this earth to earn and learn but not for your ego and selfish desires."

The cab reached the office and Anwar as well as Kishan found good friends in each other...

The theme of the story is to highlight the importance of MINIMUM LEVEL OF HUMANITY in our life which is missing from the people who then suffer for the mistake.

Way to move on-!!!!!!

World of politics is something a great battle within, we see everything - corruption, crime, grouping, threatening, fight, lies, cheating, framing etc etc.

In simple words, politics is all about finding a common ground for a group of people and the person who achieves success in this direction emerges out as a winner. One can find out the common ground by understanding the mind and soul of the people around. But I am not here to speak about politics but it is more about contrast which was observed by me while following the incidents which took place in the politics at national level.

For those confused citizens let me brief about the political situation in India. There was a parliament session held recently and three CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General) reports were tabled which showed the present Govt. of India led by UPA ( United Progress Alliance) headed by Mr.Manmohan Singh in a poor light raising questions on his credibility because the three reports were about losses which Govt. of India had to bear due to wrong policies followed by the government.

So the first part of the story is clear. Next, it was all bashing up of UPA government by BJP which had blocked the parliament from functioning demanding resignation of Honorable Prime minister who is Mr. Manmohan Singh. The status quo was maintained, with UPA blaming State governments for the so called losses in distribution of Coal gates and BJP blaming the UPA government.

There was a scenario when everything seemed to be settling and a writ petition requesting the intervention of Supreme Court of India into alleged Coal gate scam was requested by a petitioner which was accepted by the Court and sent a notice to Coal ministry for its response. The same evening Govt of India announced number  of decisions under the banner called "ECONOMIC REFORMS" which included increasing the price of diesel, limiting the number of subsidized gas cylinders and allowing the FDI in multibrand retail.

Second part is concluded and final part is about agitation. The so called reform measures announced by Mr.Manmohan singh failed to convince the opposition parties as well as some of the parties within its alliance which resulted in protests in the form of Bharath Bandh. One of the party within the UPA called Trinamool Congress under the leadership of Shri. Mamata Banerjee raised her voice against the price rise, cap on subsidization gas cylinders as well as FDI in multibrand retail. She gave an ultimatum to the Government and threatened to withdraw support from her party to the UPA. But for the reason best known to Shri Manmohan Singh none of her requests were accepted by the Congress party which is the decision maker of the Alliance/group.

The problem with politics in India is that no one behaves as spoken by them, for example there will be a promise which will not be kept, there will be a manifesto which will not be followed and there will be a deadline which will not be met. People had same doubts on the deadline of the Smt. Mamata Banerjee and wanted to know her true colors.

She gave a deadline of Five days which was then extended to one more day, there was eagerness among all the stake holders to see whether this lady too will go back on her terms. The deadline was over and she came and sat before the mics of the press who were readily recording and broadcasting her statement to the viewers. She impressed everyone. She withdrew her support for the government and her decision was purely based on her principles ie. protecting the interests of Maa (Mother), Mati (Land) and Manush (Human being).

Fantastic was her decision!! Because here we see a person who stood on her words and took decision based on the principles believed by her rather than calculating the advantages and disadvantages which is the  basis for politics in Modern India.Just observe Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav of Samajwadi party, he protests against UPA but still supports UPA. He is playing a dual role. Now it is no tough task to be on the either side of the fighting group for you will never loose. Some people may call it as intelligence but I term it as bull shit!!!!

And thus a debate can be started with above story as the basis i.e. life based on advantage and disadvantage as a factor and life based on principles as a factor.

Get ready for a storm of life- I can link the politics with feel of love between two people. Even in politics there are two people one is called a Leader and another is called a follower. But in love we call the individuals as lovers.

If you ask two loving people , a reason for their union they will simply say that they feel like loving each other and nothing else. Try to explain them about the advantages and disadvantages of loving a particular person which most of  the probable lovers searching for a pair do i.e. they try to look at the money possessed by a person, his/her stature, beauty etc etc and make some filthy calculations and then decide to love; a pair who are truly in love with each other will send you packing because they do not believe in the factor of advantages and disadvantages instead believe in the meeting of their principles followed by each individual in his/her life.

Advantages and Disadvantages can be used a criteria for selection while buying some machines or materials in return for money because by buying a machine  with maximum advantages we can use make use of the machine for best use. But while choosing a person i.e. as a leader, as a wife or a husband we need to see how committed a person is to his/her principles because a person who doesn't go against his/her principles will never ever cheat anyone in his/her life.

So is about Ms. Mamata Banerjee committed to her principles and she will never cheat her followers as done or being speculated of Mr.Manmohan singh/ Mr. Mulayam Singh yadav. But I find people making fun of the ones who are principled in their life and term them as fools who do not change.

I would like to warn them that it is easy to lead a satisfactory life among principled people as they will never back stab you  but by leaving with the one who often change colors based on advantage and disadvantage factor  you will end up wasting your precious life time by putting the people around under scrutiny!!!!!!Be careful!!!!!

Best fight in the world- @ Parliament of India

My country is great!!!!

Do you need to know why? Obviously for the reason that we fight great for great reasons!!!!

A person may not have enough food in his house to feed his family but when there is an attack on his religion he will FIGHT. He will have a leader blowing the trumpet on a podium in front of a mic being heard on a loud speaker. My fellow Indian will be hearing him either being seated on the branches of the trees or on the stones near edges of the ground. Traveled by free bus arranged by beloved leader and assured of free food as well as money at end of the day.

He is looted of his money, a right to live freely, his privilege in this society as well as his identity, but still he doesn't care.He doesn't wish to question the integrity of his master as he believes the guy from  heart. He is taught to believe his leader, work for him and obey him.

But our beloved leaders look at the heads of such people as stepping stones towards the treasure to involve themselves in various scams- 2G, CWG, Coal, and don't see them as a fellow human being whose emotions and feelings needs to be respected.

I am wishing to see a leader who has this sense of feelings towards the voters whom they represent in the parliament. Till then big fighting tamasha will continue to entertain me and we will boast ourselves to be the great democracy in the world as told my Shri Pranab Mukherjee, President of India.

Calmness Vs Activeness - A short story

Many of you would have heard the story of a race between Rabbit(Hare) and Tortoise. A fast front running Hare looses to Tortoise. Principle moral of the story emphasizes on importance of steady continuous growth and its advantage over fast intermittent successful acts.

This particular story just popped into my mind when I happened to visit a medical practitioner along with my mother as she was feeling ill. There was a big queue and we needed to wait for our turn. Many patients were pouring in and Doctor was busy examining  patients taking his own time. There were all kinds of patients from old to young, male and female etc. There were two babies aged around five years belonging to two different mothers.

I was watching antics of those babies as I had no other work over there than waiting for my mother's turn. The two babies had quiet a contrasting behavior just like those between a tortoise and a rabbit. One baby was so active that it never wanted to stay with his mother and kept slipping from her hands. He wanted to move all around the place. Occasionally came to me but was much interested in the key bunch of my two wheeler and began to play with it. Just few minutes, baby had a change in its mood which made him to  leave the key bunch and started to roam around again. His mother was tired of taking him back along with her but baby wasn't hearing the mother. At last his grandmother who had accompanied the mother and baby lost her cool and punished the baby with a slap on his face and baby had no other go but to sleep on the lap of grandmother crying. Crying , crying baby went into a sleep mode.

The other baby was watching all these activities standing silently besides his mother tightly catching hold of her leg. He had a calm vision , observing the world around him rather than roaming around restlessly like the other kid.

Now I had a guess about the future of kids with this state of mind practiced by them.Majority of the people in this world are restless for various reasons, some worry about their family, some worried about their  income, some worried about their nation, some worried of their religion and some worried about the worries of restless people . The baby who was restless by birth will find no difference in the environment around as he grows, he will add to the list of worried people.

But the one who is calm and satisfied with his look will be looked upon as a alien among the group; And most of people with this type of  calm behavior will see their interest meeting at spiritual world.

The question is about the upper hand i.e should I say being calm is good for life or being active/restless is good for life?

Confusion does makes a house in one's mind when such questions are posed because they are of such type. Personally, I like to be calm because it gives me opportunity to observe the world around in a better way than jumping the gun on certain matters hurriedly. This calmness makes me look dumb as many of the people around me believe in concept of activism. People also believe that in the path of activism there is no need to worry about wrong steps but fast execution of the thoughts matters. I argue about the need to do a wrong act and then correct it when I can be first time correct by being calm and composed though little slow.

The world is really a mix up of calm and active people, one does something wrong and other corrects it. I wonder the use of service engineer if all the equipment manufactured worked correctly. So is the use of calm and cool minded people to correct and encourage active bulls!!!!Both have their own purpose to serve in this world..!!!!

The two worlds- a short story

"And my path is fixed to a direction and it is of business, wishing to become a greatest deal maker of the world. Each second of my time should be converted into money, each transaction should bring me profit." determined words by Shigur, a budding businessman.

"The deal sounds great but will burn your time into ashes reserved for your family and friends. They were with you as a support stick at required times. But now it is all you, they want to be and not a businessman.Cant you hear their hearty call?"serious questions being raised by his wellwisher Suraj, a social worker.

"Oh!Yes.I know these caring friends and family members. Friends stayed away from me, family members sat on my head and it was a time I was jobless at home, searching for a path which will give me reasons for going ahead in life. And now I have no obligation to take their words into my heart which had no sympathy for my state of mind," a visibly confident yet with sadness in voice spoke Shigur.

"Very common deduce!!! should have thought differently/happily! You are extending the line of sadness to extend beyond your limits which was started by your friends and family members as said by you. The problem is that though you know to identify the problem, you have chosen to react to the problem instead of solving for the same. I dont want to be preachy but you shared something personal with me, a good friend of you, and I cannot be mute listener," clear was the reaction of Suraj.

"Think different! What do you mean by it? I know to think not to think differently! When someone insults me, I know to insult them back and I was taught to react or think so! When my friends or family members insult me I have no other option but to insult them back as a punishment to their rude behaviour. What better idea can you suggest me? Do not compare yourself with the rest of friends as you were the one responsible for me to come out the negative world and gain a confidence in the unseen future.I respect you hence I do not feel like venting any type of ire on you," thanksgiving Shigur had his mind expressed.

"A mind which thanks others without any hesitation deserves an entry to the other world. Welcome Shigur. Its good that you were able to acknowledge my effort of getting you away from the darkness but you are not completely insulated. Believe me and in my ability of letting you to touch the other world," with surprize in mind Suraj was kindling the excitement factor in Shigur.

"You are a good friend of mine but never expected you to fool me. Firstly you spoke about the thinking differently and in order to explain about the same now you are raking up the issue of other world.Never were you so surprising! You need to explain me in depth and I am not going to rest without the same," so was Shigur adamant in his approach

"Let me put it simple-We are living in two worlds! A world based on materialistic contents where you need physical power and money to gain prominence. Second world is based on feelings such as love, care, justice etc. Now when I wish to define more about these worlds, it is always better to compare them. A world based on money is quite relative and can be tampered. You are considered to be rich in a group of people whereas this money means nothing when you are alone. There is a easy route to gain prominence in this money based world, requirement is a set of lies and illegal actions, This will make you king/queen of this world.

But the other world based on feelings is more personal i.e. there is a individual accountability. The one who has appreciable qualities of love, care and an interest to follow the rule of justice without yielding to personal likes and dislikes shall stand out successfully to enjoy state of satisfaction based happiness. When you think, it can be related to an act of moving ahead in the world of money which includes decision to steal, cheat, threaten, kill etc. or thinking can be based on the idea of moving ahead in the world of feelings which is to love the people around, care for them, work hard, be sincere to self and people around," Suraj was in full throttle.

Shigur wasnt speaking as he was speechless and had never thought about the other world till this second. He took a walk alone to later return and speak," I can connect to each and every word spoken by you so fluently. I can feel my mind meeting your point or idea about life. So I can be happy all alone as I am good and had never thought wrong about people around even in most troubled times. I worked hard to get my business develop and never resorted to criminal activities when devoid of a job. I am good and am feeling very much happy about it Only wrong thing I did was about the idea of punishing the people who never know about the other world. I will revert my stance and I know that now my duty to share about the other world with others as you had with me. Love you my friend and I can feel how happy you are from within your heart."

Try to relate yourself.... :)

Caution sign board - A short story with a good message

It was a bright pleasant morning. Anand was still sleeping. Watch with the alarm set at 8.am was ringing. Anand’s younger brother Prakash was an engineering final year student. He got up early and was ready with his luggage packed. Prakash’s mobile was ringing continuously. It was his friends who were calling him. Prakash and his friends had decided to go on a trip to Coorg and hence they were calling him to make sure that he was ready. Prakash had avoided venturing outside the city throughout his life. The reason was Prakash’s mother who believed in predictions and was warned by a religious swami to prevent Prakash from crossing city boundaries till he attains age of 18 which may otherwise turn out to be a disaster for Prakash. But now Prakash was almost nineteen and his mother did not raise any objections on his adventurous journey.

Though, Mother was not worried about Prakash’s trip but she did have complaints about the place selected. “Prakash, I don’t understand the need for a trip in this winter season and destination is also a cold area.” “Mom, I had kept my desires under control to obey and respect your religious belief. I think you should not stop me at this point of time when all arrangements are made including sweaters to protect from the cold. So my sweet mom should not have any worries about my safety instead be happy that your son is going to have that little bit of unique enjoyment for the first time.” Mother did understand the heart of her son to raise no more questions.
Anand was still sleeping and his mother yelled, “Anand, come down! Your brother is on his way to a trip. Wish him a happy journey.” Anand thought that it was dream but when heard the call again he immediately stood on his feet and climbed down the stairs with sleepy eyes. Anand loved to play with his brother, “You dint even take the pain of informing me about the trip a day before?” Anand paused and reaction was as if he was angry on that note but after the pause he added, “If you had informed earlier, I would have also joined  the trip”. All the three burst out in laughter.  Prakash informed that trip was planned a week before, but a friend in their group was hesitating to be a part of the same due to personal reasons and hence got the plans on hold. Yesterday he confirmed to join and today they were ready. Anand wanted to know the place and Prakash replied, “It is cool coorg and we have made all arrangement for the transportation with one of my friend getting his car and stay over there is arranged at a home stay maintained by one of my friend’s relatives.”
Anand advised as a gentle brother, “So, it is a group of youths on their ride to Coorg. But remember that with no people to control there is every chance of you guys getting overboard.Have some self control. While riding the vehicle make sure to concentrate on the sign boards because they provide  information about the condition of road ahead. ” Mother on her part asked Prakash to behave well and make sure to safeguard his own good identities. Prakash thanking for loads of advice went to the gate where car had arrived with his friends inside.Even his friends had to hear some piece of advices from Anand and his mother. Anand put some money into his brother’s pocket and wished him, “Have a safe journey, be careful to keep your mobile on charge and speak to us on every day evening.”
At last Prakash joined his friends Naveen, Raju, Kamal and Giri and the journey began. After traveling few kilometers, car stopped at a hotel and everyone got down. It was Kamal’s birthday and everyone greeted him with a good breakfast for him at a hotel along with sweets. When Kamal insisted on gift all the friends took him outside the hotel lifted him up horizontally and kicked hard on his buttocks. It was birthday bumps! Kamal, who was feeling painful said that he will never ask for any gift from his friends. The trip began on a kicking note.

Here at home, Anand had his breakfast and reached the office on time. Anand, who was working as a junior programmer at a reputed software company for past eleven months was still on probation. He had pulled all the right strings to make sure that he gets a permanent position in the company. He had impressed his boss Mr. Raghu so much that the two were no more like a senior and junior but were like close well wishers. It was final month of Anand’s probation period and he dint want to have a single remark on his punctuality. Anand reached office on time as he used to and entered the boss cabin. To his surprise ever punctual Mr.Raghu wasn’t present in his seat. Anand spoke to Rita, Mr. Raghu’s personal secretary, “Rita, Boss is missing! Has anyone kidnapped him?” Rita who was filled with a sense of anxiety, “He will not be here for two more days, his son met with an accident yesterday and boss is busy taking care of him.” Anand got shocked, “So sad, were you informed about the condition of patient?” Rita replied, “I was eager to know about the same but boss was in a hurry mood so could not ask him anything further. But he told that there was nothing to worry and He will be present here by day after tomorrow to explain in detail!” “Ok, it seems to be a good idea, I have some unfinished tasks to be completed, will concentrate on the same and try to finish it before boss comes to office. I will meet you in the tea break,” so said Anand and left to his cabin.
Prakash and his friends with not before experienced zeal were quite happy, shouting loud, making fun of the people inside and outside the car. They were on an emotional high. Kamal, who had adorned the driver seat was feeling uneasy and suddenly stopped the car to punch Raju on his face. All the other friends were dumb silent and Raju who couldn’t bear the pain scolded Kamal and asked for the reason, Kamal with a painful face replied, “My bottom is paining like anything and I am not able to sit properly.Your shoes with a pointed front made me feel the kick very badly.” The whole team laughed out louder. Raju himself had to take the responsibility of the driving the car. Raju gradually raised the escalator and drove the car faster. When Prakash felt that speed of car was dangerously high,he remembered his brother’s advice and immediately alerted Raju to keep cool and watch out for the traffic signs all along the way. The then excited Raju calmed down and the journey was back on a smooth track. The mistake was not Raju’s because though he was in a medium speed, another car overtook Raju’s, inciting the sporting spirit within. Understanding Raju’s intention Prakash spoke, “I know the reason behind your sudden rush, but remember that this is not a race track and we are not racers. We have a responsibility of traveling safe as well allowing others to travel safe. Just because of one idiot we all shouldn’t turn out to be idiots. There shall be no difference between them and us. Hang on and drive carefully!” Raju understood the message and drove safely.
On the way roadside natural beauty enthralled everyone. Till then joking people, began to share beautiful view of nature with each other and there was a collective enjoyment. Naveen with a sense of excitement, “Wow, so beautiful mountains, covered with clouds, it is a great view! Please stop the car and let us take few snaps!”  Everyone got down and took photographs; it was a quite good combination of beautiful nature and five best friends enjoying the beauty. Prakash to Giri, “I never had been out with the friends as my mother was very much against it. But now she has allowed me out at the right time and I am enjoying the nature like never before.” Everyone got back into the car to reach the home stay before it was too dark.

A home stay was nothing but a lodge with all amenities including food provided against a service charge. Since it was maintained by Kamal’s cousin, the service charges were waived off for the group. It was pitch dark night. As soon as guys reached the hotel, Kamal's cousin Mr. Ratan, who was maintaining the home stay greeted them with a smile and asked them to get refreshed. A surprise was waiting for Kamal and it was big birthday cake. Cake was cut by Kamal with a birthday chorus from his friends and people at home stay. This time Kamal never spoke about any gift. But his cousin Ratan got him a beautiful pen. His friends came near to Kamal and he pleaded about his inability to withstand another round of birthday bumps, but it was not a bump instead it was a portrait of Kamal  sketched by Prakash specially for him and the same was presented to Kamal. Party was over with distribution of cakes and after savoring specially prepared dinner. Everyone called to their respective families and informed about the safe arrival to the destination to get settled in a room with five beds arranged for them. Siva, room service boy entered the room and asked for any other arrangements to be made like hot drinks and DVD’s etc. But boys were quick to reject especially Prakash, “Sorry boss, we don’t belong to that category of people; we are here strictly to enjoy nature and celebrate our friendship. Thanks for your offer and please arrange for a bottle of water. Nothing else is required.” The day ended so and boys who were tired of travelling were quick to enter deep sleep mode. In the midnight, temperature dipped very low, Giri, who was shivering, got up and switched off the fan. After sometime Naveen got up to switch on the fan and slept back. Giri once again got up and did not know who switched-on the fan, with a sleepy eyes switched the fan off again. Don’t expect mischievous Naveen to stop, he got up again and switched the fan on. Sensing that game was not going to end, Giri simply got under the bed to control the temperature around.

It was next day morning, boys freshened up and were at the dining table to be served hot mouthwatering breakfast. During the breakfast, somehow Giri came to know that it was Naveen’s act to switch-on the fan frequently. Hoping to teach a lesson, Giri went back to room and quietly dipped Naveen’s warm jacket into the cold water. Everyone reached room and Naveen was shocked to see his jacket wet but he realized his mistake and asked sorry to Giri without any arguments. Others, who were ignorant about all this background score were giggling at the situation of Naveen. Raju teased Naveen “Dear friends, I think we should drop Mr.Naveen from our today’s trip as he cannot afford to come with us without his clothes, I mean his jacket.” Kamal stood up, “I will check out whether our people over here have some spare sweaters. If we need to buy a new one, we need to travel ten kilometers away and without the sweaters you are dead outside!” Kamal called to the room service to be informed that spare sweaters had been given for a laundry wash and it will be delivered today afternoon. Still everyone got into the car to be guided by Kamal’s cousin Mr.Ratan for sightseeing and Naveen was quiet comfortable as he had draped himself with a blanket. Boys began to call him ‘blank Naveen’. Boys were quick to take pictures and Naveen posed with a sense of pride. Ratan to Naveen, “You are really brave chap, don’t you think these guys will tease you on your way back to Bangalore?” Naveen smilingly, “I know they will, but they are my friends and we should have something joyful to remember about our trip. Let the reason be me.” Ratan was quick to respond, “That’s the positive spirit. We will reach the market area and will buy a good sweater for you. You will enjoy the trip as Kamal had enjoyed for so many times.” Within twenty minutes car reached the market.
After purchasing the sweater, it was all sightseeing for t boys from waterfalls to Buddhist monastery, from gardens to mountain tips. Boys enjoyed the trip like anything with snaps taken at each and every beautiful place. Two days passed just like that and it was second day evening. Guys purchased a gift and presented it to the home stay people, as the latter were reluctant to take any money for their service. Everyone had a group photo taken as a token of remembrance. It was time to leave the home stay and return to Bangalore, by this time Ratan and his family members who were running the home stay were much impressed by good behavior of boys and hence invited them to visit the place once again along with their family members.

Back in Bangalore, Anand’s boss returned to his office. Anand, who was anxious to know about the status of patient who had met with an accident rushed to his boss’s cabin. Anand’s boss who was visibly upset wished Anand and took stock of the situation in the office. He appreciated Anand for the progress in the work. Anand with a lenient voice, “Sir, I wanted to know about the situation of your son, I hope he is fine right now! How all these things happened all of a sudden? I couldn’t believe when Rita informed me about the accident.” Anand’s boss with a fragile voice, “He and his friends had been to Coorg for sightseeing! While returning in their car, normal road was closed for some maintenance purpose and these people had taken an alternative route. The road was without any caution sign boards. These guys who were eager to reach home before midnight drove their vehicle very fast. They failed to negotiate a right reverse bend curve and hit a tree injuring everyone! Right now everyone is fine with some minor injuries.”
By the time Anand’s boss could complete, Anand who remembered about his brother returning to Bangalore ran out of the cabin and tried to call his brother so that he could be cautioned about the right reverse bend curve. Anand tried to mobiles of every member of the team who were returning to Bangalore, but not even one was reachable over their phones. The car in which Prakash and his friends were traveling was almost half the way towards Bangalore. Anand was very much frustrated and called to home stay to be informed that his brother and friends had already left the place. Ratan, who had picked up the phone also tried from his phone to inform the matter to guys. Car was just about a kilometer away from the spot where accident had occurred injuring Mr. Raghu’s son.

Anand’s boss Mr. Raghu, who was completely clueless about Anand’s reaction, came out of the cabin, “Anand! What happened to you? Why did you come out running? I can see your face full of anxiety and frustration!” Anand explained everything to his boss and the reason for his frustration. Anand’s boss laughed, “Do not worry Anand; I will assure that your brother will not meet with same type of accident as my son had.” Anand replied, “But sir, how come you are so sure about it? My brother is also traveling on the same route as your son had! I am very much upset about what is going to happen!” Car, which was driven by Prakash was at maximum speed and reached the same accident spot. Prakash immediately slowed down to neatly negotiate the curve. After passing the curve Prakash to his friends with a sigh of relief, “Thank God, there was a caution sign board. In its absence I would have surely hit the tree!” Anand’s boss explained, “As soon as I rushed to the accident spot along with ambulances, I could make out that accident occurred mainly due to absence of caution sign board and I immediately informed to area road traffic in charge, who is a good friend of mine. He has got the sign board installed! So there is no need for you to worry anymore.”
But still Anand wasn’t convinced and he was anxiously waiting for his brother at his house. He heaved a sigh of relief when he found his brother getting down from the car, safe and sound. Prakash as soon as he got down from the car hugged his brother, “Thanks brother, I averted a major accident because of your advice of watching out for the sign boards on road.” Anand immediately rang to his boss at late night and thanked him very much, “Sir, I am really very proud of you! My brother is back, safe and sound. It is mainly because of your good intention of preventing any other accidents and getting a sign board installed over there!” Anand’s boss, “I had told you earlier. No problem Anand, I am very happy for your brother! It was my duty. Let us discuss about it tomorrow morning. It is late night, go to bed have a good sleep. Good night.” Anand happily wished his boss and got the call cut.

Everything got settled very fine and good. Main point of the story is about importance of each and every good advice as well as each and every good action performed with good intention. These simple advices and actions help in preventing something bad from happening! Contribute something good from your end too
